Dear Editor, I have just read with horror that the taxman closes one Scottish business a day. In my view that is 365 days too many. The taxman needs to get their priorities right and help businesses to continue in these difficult times. Best wishes, John McDermott Glasgow

Dear Editor, Are we heading for £2 a litre, for our petrol? Every week, at the garage, the petrol increases by 1 to 2p. At that rate it will be £2 by Christmas. Everyone will need to send each other petrol vouchers as presents. It will be the only way to provide fuel for your car. Concerned Motorist
