Dear Editor, As a frequent 'Twitterer', that is, a member of www.twitter.com, I was pleasantly surprised to find your magazine participated on this website as Scotland4me. It is great that I can keep up to date with news items and other articles of interest via Scotland4me while at the same time 'twittering' to my friends and followers. It is also amazing how many people follow each other and that includes those who do not know each other. Great fun to read other's thoughts which are posted during the day.

Dear Editor, I always enjoy reading your Community News Pages, but I notice, you do not have any information from Glasgow City Council. Would it be possible to include this in future issues?

Best wishes, Mr McAphee, Glasgow

Editors' response - We are looking into this and hope it will be included in our September edition of the magazine. Thank you for your enquiry.

RAC Recovery Van

Dear Editor, When my parents first bought a car way back in the 60s it was fashionable to be a member of the AA (Automobile Association) or the RAC (Royal Automobile Club) and display the appropriate members badge on the front of your car for all to see, especially the staff of either club. When driving in the countryside you would find an AA/RAC Box situated at the roadside for use by members in times of break down, no mobile phones in those days. Today these organisatio-ns still operate to help motorists in trouble at times of a breakdown, thank goodness they are around because the clutch in my car gave up on me at a most inopportune time and if it had not been for the RAC coming to my rescue I would have been stranded.

regards, Mrs K Litster, Scotland
