Dear Editor,
I wish the media would stop printing stories about the housing market
being in crisis. All this negativity will cause a fall in the market all
across the United Kingdom. In Scotland the housing market is still buoyant,
what this means is, houses are selling but the prices are not increasing
as much as they did in the past. If the mortgage lenders do not lend to
a prospective buyer, then the end result will be disaster for all of us.
So let us look forward in a possitive way and keep the house sales at
a good level.

Dear Editor, the position in the oil industry in Scotland
could be worse if steps had not been taken to ensure a continuing supply
of oil comes to Scotland by other means in place of the refinery in Grangemouth
supplying us with all our petrol etc. However, I do sympathise with the
employees at Grangemouth regarding their pension fund and I must say if
I had paid into a pension fund to ensure my retirement would be enjoyed,
then I must agree with the action taken.

Dear Editor, About eighteen months ago you published an article about
Wi Fi Cities and congratulated Aberdeen City Council on their efforts
to introduce Wi Fi facilities in the city. However, I do not see any evidence
of this having happened yet. Is this perhaps another of Aberdeen City
Councils cutback plans. What happened to all the work that was done to
make this happen.
