Dear Editor, I am not sure if any of your readers are aware of our Association but would appreciate my letter being published to emphasize the good work and support carried out by our people. 'SAVM exists to serve anyone concerned with managing volunteers, salaried or otherwise, by raising the status, respect and value accorded to the profession of Volunteer Management and by helping them develop confidence, pride and competence in their work.' Although our website is still undergoing development work further information can be gained by visiting www.savm.org.uk or by sending an e-mail to info@savm.org.uk name and address given |

Dear Editor, I am writing to you as a result of reading about PiggyBankKids 'Big Night In' event to raise funds for the charity. This is a wonderful idea to combine fun, socialising and fund-raising all in the one evening. On receiving my pack of ideas, I have decided to hold a party based on a 'Titanic' theme. All my guests must arrive dressed in the fashions of that era. Entertainment will include quizzes, raffles and competitions. So here's to a wonderful evening. D.A. Rosyth |

Who said the Scottish Parliament was full of rubbish? I could not resist taking the photo I have sent you regarding all the boxes stacked up against the window in the new parliament bulding. The photograph was taken from the pavement at the foot of the Cannongate on the day the Parliament opened so I feel there is an excuse for the breach of Health and Safety rules, afterall the building was over budget over its' completion date and over optimistic about being ready for the Queens' visit. Nevermind the event was executed with precision and a credit to the organisers.
