Dear Editor, I know that a lot of building work is going on in the centre of Edinburgh in preparation for the new tram system, but, to get around the town is a nightmare. I visited the City of Edinburgh last month and took the easy option of travelling to and from the area by bus. Well, getting there was one thing but finding the appropriate bus stop to travel home was another brain teaser. I saw a bus stopping at a bus stop in Princes Street and noticed it was the bus I needed to travel on, I missed that one so I waited for the next bus, to discover that it did not stop where I was standing, but it stopped 100 yards further on. I gave up and walked most of my way home in disgust at the unorganised way the public transport system operates in Princes Street. Name and address withheld

Dear Editor, The local and national press reported on the recent event which took place at the Labour Party Conference when Sarah Brown spoke to the delegates and audience prior to the Prime Minister's Speech. I think this was a wonderful gesture from her by showing support for her husband. Believe me it takes a lot of courage to stand up in front of such a large crowd and speak so naturally when millions of people are also watching you on television. Name and address withheld

Dear Editor, The Irish banks are saying the 100% guarantee is not giving them a competitive advantage. Yes thousands in Scotland are moving their bank accounts to the Bank of Ireland and other Irish banks. The Irish definitely seem to have the advantage here! Yours Concerned Investor
