22nd Anniversary |
Yes, it is the 22nd anniversary of the Recreation and Hobbies Exhibition on 5th and 6th October at Glen Pavilion, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline. The list of participants reads like a Who’s Who of local leisure organisations. |
The free exhibition, which is being mounted by Fife Council Community Services, in association with Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council will be open to the public from 11.00am – 4.00pm each day. |
Councillor David Arnott (Photo on the right), Acting Chair, Area Services Committee, said “Given the range of displays on offer we’re sure the event will again prove a winner”. |
From Birds to Boats, Cameras to Curling, Dancing to Drama, Fencing to Floral Art, Model Making to Music, Rabbits to Radio – whatever your interest you can find it in the Glen when nearly 50 exhibitors display their activities at this shop window of leisure time pursuits. |
5 000 Visitors |
The Exhibition, celebrating its twenty-second year and probably Scotland’s biggest, regularly attracts 5,000 visitors. |
Organisations new to the Exhibition this year include the Dunfermline Fuchsia Society and Fife Apple Mac Users Society, while the National Sugarcraft Association make a welcome return. |
Outdoor attractions feature prominently this year with displays in the paddling pool by Rosyth Model Ship Club and flying displays by the Model Aero Club. |
The West Fife Guides will feature the ever-popular face painting for kids at their stand. |
