Scottish bus pass - example

Dear Editor,

In Scotland us pensioners were the first to have a nationl bus pass.  It is a great liberator.  Giving us the freedom to travel.  If our passes where withdrawn it would be a severe blow to us all.  Save our bus passes please.

Mrs Jeannie Jones, Scottish Borders

Stagecoach bus normally used for the airprot or local trips

Dear Editor,

Where have all the buses gone?   Only one bus a hour from Dalgety Bay to Edinburgh, instead of a superb twenty minute service.  This is scandalous.  Would you believe the government wants us to switch to public transport to get from A to B.  Yet there is hardly any buses at all.  What a mess!

£10 note with picture of Queen Elizabeth 2 (UK)

Dear Editor,

Just got a letter from my bank. Computer printed.  It tells me that a £10 direct debit could not be paid as it would have resulted in a £1 overdraft.  Then I am told that the fee for the letter is £35.  And now I have an overdrawn balance to the tune of £26.  Where is the logic in that?
