Internet Access Denied

Scotland, Northern Ireland and most parts of the UK, where without a Broadband connection on Friday 29th October 2010 from 6 30pm.

Residents could not use their BBC Iplayer to watch TV programmes. E-mail could not be downloaded and read. Facebook and Twitter where not accessible. The whole Internet world had come to end. Or that is what we thought.

It was just a technical glitch. BT had fixed the issue by the morning. And all was accessible again. Computers whirred with happiness. All in the Internet world was well.

The end of the world was not nigh
