Dear Editor, Well, is all this Global Warming nonsense making any sense? It suggests that the atmosphere is getting warmer yet here in the United Kingdom we are suffering from one of the worst winters experienced for a number of years. Next Christmas I will ask Santa to bring me extra warm woollies to wear, just in case we suffer from the same cold weather during winter 2010/2011. Name and address withheld | ||

Dear Editor, Snow, frost, more snow and more frost, but
the country comes to a stand still when this happens. Why? have our roads
not been gritted allowing people to get to and from various places. I
bet the shopkeepers are not very pleased as their sales will be down and
takings will not be as successful as they could have been, shoppers could
not move from their homes due to the weather conditions and uncleared
roads and pathways. | ||

Dear Editor, It would appear from the news bulletins and speaking to friends from other parts of the country that Britain cannot cope with wintery weather such as heavy snow falls and severe frost. Other countries throughout the globe manage to cope extrememly well and take it in their stride. In the United Kingdom as soon as a snow flake dares to fall everyone panics. However, the councils are much to blame as their duty to keep all roads and pavements clear has not been met and payment of this year's council tax should be withheld by everyone, to teach them a lesson.
