FEST 2007, 25th August 2007, Banchory, Scotland.
On 25th August 2007 the very first Feugh Fest will be held in Banchory,
Aberdeenshire countryside with non-stop entertainment for 10 hours.
Band line-up includes: The Shakes, Deviltrain, Aka Ska, easily led,
Paddyrasta, 16 again, Big Foot, Le Reno Amps, Dave Acari, Hot Mangu,
Captain Face, Balkan Ceilidh and many more.
Feugh Fest Ltd. director Mark Valentine commented ”Feugh Fest
2007 has been born out of a desire to recreate the community spirit
similar to that we experienced when attending Glassel Gig. This music
festival, again held in Banchory, ran for over 7 years and when it stopped
we were really disappointed. It had a great reputation and we decided
that it was time to carry on the tradition of holding a music festival
here in Banchory. We hope to attract a mixed age audience from across
the country to Aberdeenshire. In the same vein as Glassel Gig, we intend
to donate a large percentage to local charities”
He added “During the day it will have a real family atmosphere
and children will be admitted for free. After the children have left
the site at 6pm, the tempo will get cranked up. From then on in it’s
adults only!”
In a nutshell Feugh Fest will have something for everyone, for young
and old. Kids will be kept entertained with a bouncy castle, face painting
and bucking bronco rides. They’ll even have their own bar!
Tickets, which are on sale now, cost £20 and can be purchased
via the website www.feughfest.com
or by calling the ticket hotline on 01330 822066. There is free admittance
for children under 14.
