Disability World.com

To those of us who have all our limbs and faculties, today's living is exciting and easy to cope with, however, for those who unfortunately do not share our world it can be daunting and frustrating. This month we feature 'Disability World.com' which was the brain child of William McQueen and his father Don. I first met William McQueen a number of years ago, he suffered from a stroke when just a toddler. Since then and while in his mid twenties he suffered another stroke but that did not deter him from leading a fulfilling life. Before his second stroke William was a champion swimmer and is the proud owner of a huge collection of medals and cups for his sport, now he devotes his time between working for a large company and publishing his website www.disabilityworld.com

"disabilityWORLD.com was established in 1999 by William and Don McQueen. We have been working since then to setup a comprehensive directory of information and web sites for the disabled.

We came to the conclusion that the site itself needed a change in order for it to become commercially viable, this would give us the opportunities to develop the site as a one-stop portal.

Since Spring 2002 we are emerging as a organisation that has the interest of society, by developing new strategies and partnerships with forward thinking organisations/companies we can work together in delivering more unique services and products that will in given time change the perception and realise the value within our rewarding community.

Our Aims are to continue providing you with Europe`s largest Accessible Accommodation Search Facility, Information on UK Services/Products. Providing you with new services that enable a more enhancing experience whilst visiting our website." quote from William and Don
