Dear Editor, Too much talking about a downturn in the housing market could put people off selling their homes and moving on to another property. Afterall, this is how the market keeps going with a spin off being the mortgage companies make money to re-invest in other industries allowing us to hold down a job and repay the mortgage. It is a vicious circle but it this not how the whole system works?.

Dear Editor, the husband of a friend of mine works for the company doing the main preparation work for the new Edinburgh tram system. Nearly every day he gets dogs abuse from members of the public. He did not decide the tram system would be installed it was the Scottish Parliament, he does not deserve this kind of treatment. However, this does let us know about the true feelings of Edinburgh people who are against the whole affair. It will be interesting to see what happens at the next Scottish Parliament elections.

Dear Editor, If Donald Trump wants to build a golf course in Aberdeenshire then let him, we need the investment and the facilities. I am not a golfer but I have heard that our American tourists who love Scotland say there are not enough golf courses for them to visit and play the game on. There is too much criticism about the tourist industry not providing facilities so let's build another golf course and we can enjoy it during the quieter times.
