Dear Editor, If our prisons are over subscribed with prisoners then why does the government not enlist the lesser offenders to the Armed Forces instead of locking them up with nothing to do. It would give them something to do, they would be paid for fighting, and all this could be done in Iraq or Afghanistan. Name and address withheld |

Dear Editor, Considering we are in a recession why is it I cannot find many 'Car Boot' sales? This was always seen as a means to obtain extra cash by selling unwantd items. It also meant that members of the public could scan the sales for a bargain or a hidden treasure. everyone got something out of it. Yours sincerely, Mr McFinnie |

Dear Editor, I read with interest your letter published recently regarding Concessionary Fares in Fife and the fact the council want to scrap this to keep Fifers from shopping outside Fife. Well, if anyone wants to take up a campaign to bring decent shopping to Fife then I will join it. As far as I am concerned shoppers in Fife do not have much choice and are better off shopping in Edinburgh or Perth. Name and address withheld. |
