Dear Editor, After reading the postngs on the Yahoo board about whether Blair or Brown should be PM it is obvious that the voters want a change. What is frightening is that voters who have supported the Labour Party for 39 years or more want to switch. Where too! The Tories of course. That must be painful for the Labour Party. But the response from Labour supporters is I suspect, that the Tories are the lesser evil! Therefore I suggest it is time for a change, but not to the Tories! But to a new Labour Prime Minister, Gordon Brown. That is now and not 2010. We just cannot wait any longer. Time is of the essence. James McFinnie, Aberdeen

Dear Editor, I resently visited a very well known furniture chain. After confirming the furniture I wanted to purchase would arrive as a 'flat pack' and being assured by the salesman that I would be able to assemble it, I parted with my cash. Yes, you have guessed it, I ended up employing a joiner to put the items together as the shop would not help me when I found the instructions too difficult. The joiner I employed agreed the instructions were not suitable for someone other than joiners or furniture makers. I would like to warn your readers not to buy flat packs, it is cheaper to buy already assembled furniture. Mrs J Gilhooley, West Lothian.

Dear
Editor A debate is taking place at the moment in the Scottish Parliament
regarding a new Bank Holiday in Scotland which could cost the taxpayer
another £41 million per year. The holiday is in recognition of St.
Andrew’s Day. My questions are simple ones. That is, do we need
another bank holiday? And is it worth £41 million of tax payers
money? Yours truly, Julian Murray
