Samples of pottery by Alex and Sue Blair

Situated in the Gaelic heartland of the Outer Hebrides on the Isle of Lewis, 18 miles North West of Stornoway you will find Borgh (Borve) Pottery, run by Alex and Sue Blair. Their works of art, like the samples opposite, are created from a selection of their own rich and muted glazes which have a depth and quality only to be found in high fired stoneware. Their work can be seen in the delightful pottery showroom alongside a range of gifts with a difference. For additional examples of their work and opening times please visit their website www.borgh-pottery.com

Cringletie House Hotel, nr Peebles

On a recent visit to the Cringletie House Hotel, Peebles, I was pleasantly surprised by the exquisite surroundings and decor of the building all credited to a recent refurbishment which was completed in June 2004. It has a homely atmosphere which welcomes its visitors no matter what time of the day. The fourteen bedrooms are individually decorated to a very high standard and in addition to this the facilities offered let the visitor experience what life can be like on a private country estate. To find out more about hosting Weddings, Corporate Packages and seasonal festivities please visit their website www.cringletie.com
