Dear Editor,
Last Saturday I had the priviledge to attend the ice show 'Peter Pan on
Ice' at Ingleston, Edinburgh. This spectacular show was enjoyed by many
children in the audience along with their parents, however, one important
item of any show, the Programme, was missing. On entering the venue, members
of the audience were ushered to their seats rather hastily without the
opportunity to make this purchsase. During the interval I discovered the
organisers had not provided sufficient copies for sale. Oh well this is
one outing I will remember too well for the wrong reasons.

Dear Editor, This year is the first time I have been
asked to complete a Self Assessment Tax Return, what a carry on. When
you think about the cost to the Inland Revenue for the printing of the
instruction booklet, the tax return and the tax calculation form no wonder
the Treasury are short of cash. This, along with staff salaries for checking
the forms must drain the treasury purse. I suggest that self assessment
in this format is abolished.

Dear
Editor, We are getting closer and closer to the May election day when
we in Scotland vote for our member of the Scottish Parliament and local
council representatives. The new system now in place for the local council
elections is still a mystery to many people. Will this result in electing
people by default due to ignorance, putting the electorate off by being
faced with a document so full of names the person top of the list will
be elected or will we really get a true picture of politics in Scotland?
Mrs Kate Litster, Fife.
