Throughout February to 15th March 2009, Jean Muir Collection, National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. From the swinging 60s to her death in 1995, British designer Jean Muir held a place at the cutting edge of the international fashion scene; she was known as 'the new queen of the dress' in Paris and 'the jewel in the crown of British fashion' in New York. In 2005, a collection of over 18,000 items was donated to National Museums Scotland by her widower, Harry Leukert, and are now on display. Details of the exhibition can be found on www.nms.ac.uk

It was said Michelangelo could visualise the human form within a block of marble. To, similarly, teases out figures from initially abstract images.
