Throughout February to 15th March 2009, Jean
Muir Collection, National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh.
From the swinging 60s to her death in 1995, British designer Jean
Muir held a place at the cutting edge of the international fashion
scene; she was known as 'the new queen of the dress' in Paris and
'the jewel in the crown of British fashion' in New York. In 2005,
a collection of over 18,000 items was donated to National Museums
Scotland by her widower, Harry Leukert, and are now on display.

technique is inspired by a story attributed to the Renaissance sculptor,
Michelangelo. It was said Michelangelo could visualise the human
