'Letters to the Editor'

Norton House Hotel

Dear Editor over the Christmas period my husband and I were visiting relatives in Scotland and based ourselves at the Norton House Hotel nr Edinburgh Airport. The accommodation was stylish and very comfortable, the food excellent and the staff extremely helpful. However, during our stay the weather was rather cold and the car park area was covered in frost and ice, making it dangerous for walking from the main building to our car. After a number of requests to have the problem resolved our pleas fell on deaf ears. Name and Address given

GNER Train

Dear Editor you recently published a letter from a reader who travelled to Aberdeen from Fife on a regular basis and found the journey unwelcoming. As I have travelled that route on many occasions I would like to suggest that your reader tries GNER. The trains are clean and comfortable with friendly onboard staff. Your reader will not be disappointed. Name and Address given

Distruction caused by the Asian Quake

Dear Editor I just had to write to you regarding the terrible tragedy that took place on Boxing Day, a day normally reserved for people recovering from the over indulgence of food eaten on Xmas Day. During the past few days the news of the deaths caused by the Earthquake and then the Tsunami are unimaginable. I appeal to your readers all over the world to contribute in one way or another to help those affected by this dreadful occurence. Members of the public can find out how to accomplish this by contacting their appropriate government departments. In UK contact www.dec.org.uk Name and Address given
