Kings Road Primary School, designed the winning poster, which captured
the spirit of the day and was used as part of the official programme
front cover
Although the weather was not
on its' best behaviour the crowds turned out 'en masse' for an exciting
and memorable day. There was certainly plenty to see from
stalls raising funds for various charities to action packed entertainment
from members of the Armed Services.

Kingdon FM Roadshow DJ's
were in attendance to play requests and entertain the public
Fife's Lord Lieutenant,
Margaret Dean conducts an inspection prior to presenting a new Queen's
Colour to the Sea Cadet Corps' Northern Area.
Captain Hook and his crew were
in full swing hijacking passers by to fill their buckets with
money of any shape, colour and size in aid of helping Blind People
Children of all ages were in awe
of what was on show especially by the over-flying Sea King chopper
from the seacrh and rescue service. However, an argument
over a tin ofcoca cola drew swords at dawn.
This proud gentleman Admiral
Adam Duncan, Viscount Duncan of Camperdown, once adorned the bow
of an old war ship which was broken up in 1863.
