Traditional Boat Festival This
event takes place in Portsoy, Aberdeenshire and hails itself as
one of the largest gatherings of traditional boats in Scotland.
There are lots of activities to keep the family amused including
a Food Fayre, Music Festival, maritime demonstrations and a 10k

July to 28th August 2005 Monet and the Impressionists: Kelvingrove
at Kirkcudbright. Many
of the best known Impressionist paintings, will be shown in Kirkcudbright
Town Hall in a unique exhibition that takes advantage of Kelvingrove’s
current closure for refurbishment. The exhibition will show some of
the finest works from Glasgow City Council’s collection. The

to 8th July 2005 G8 Summit. World
Leaders will meet at Gleneagles near Auchterarder, Perthshire for
the 2005 G8 Summit. As security will be extremely tight during
this time it would be advisable to avoid the area. |

to 8th July 2005 Hebridean Challenge.
This event takes place on the Outer Hebrides
and is spread over 5 days . The competing teams cover terrain from
Vatersay in the south to Lewis in the north. This means the teams
are required to take part in hill running, road running, mountain
