Carving Competition, Carrbridge, Highlands. The Scottish
Open Chainsaw Carving Competition alias 'Carve Carrbridge' as
it is known, welcomes competitors from across the UK. Detailed
sculptures are carved from logs using only chainsaws. There will

Cup Final 2010, East Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh.
Edinburgh will stage the
(FITA) Archery World Cup Final, the most prestigious event in
the sport's annual calendar [second only to the World Championships].
Edinburgh is the first UK city to host the Archery World Cup
Final, the biggest, most important archery competition ever to
be seen in the UK.

Dumfries and Galloway. The Scottish Book Town Festival is a celebration
of the written word in Wigtown, our National Book Town, and spans
