North Queensferry Heritage Trust Annual Village Show 2005 celebrated "Victory in Europe" on Saturday 25th August. A huge number of the public attended and were met by members of the Trust dressed in the fashions of the 1940's.

An exhibition of village produce, traditional crafts, floral art, baking, photography and other categories filled the premises with imagination and the ambience of the 40's. All of these exhibits were put up for auction at the end of the Show to raise funds for the Trust.

In a seperate hall a visit down memory lane was available to all visitors. Photographs from years gone by accompanied by the history of the village were on display for all to see. A compilation of some 273 photographs will be produced on CD and made available to members of the public.

Willie Brown (85 said to be the eldest resident in NQ) won the Maureen Trotter cup for his outstanding vegetables

Jill Brown (Organisor of show with the committee) was awarded the Bob Cubin MBE, cup for the best village garden judged in July

Jessica Rinaldi was awared the Jubilee Cup for her 'Little Child’s Garden'

James Lawson commented on the event "Successful enjoyed by all – it is a pity there are so few entries from the younger generation. This is a big problem shared by every community"
