Mint Julep

Mint Julep

2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups water
Fresh Mint
Crushed Ice
Bourbon (2 fluid ounces per serving)

Make mint syrup by boiling sugar and water together for 5 minutes, cool. Place in a covered container with 6 or 8 mint sprigs. Place in fridge overnight. Make the julep by filling a tall glass with crushed ice, then adding 1 tablespoon of mint syrup and 2 ounces of bourbon. Stir swiftly with a spoon to frost outside of cup or glass. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig..

Sangria

Sangria

1 bottle red wine
1 bottle lemonade
4 measures brandy
mixed fruit diced, ice cubes

Pour wine, lemonade and brandy into a very large jug, add ice cubes and stir. Float diced fruit of your choice in jug. Serve in tall glasses. Add more fruit to decorate.

1.5 fld ozs whisky
1 fl oz cherry brandy
2 fl oz cranberry juice
Ice cubes, Lime peel to decorate

Use Highball glass and fill with ice, pour in all ingredients, stir well. Place twist of lime peel (or orange ring) on edge of glass to decorate.
