Dear Editor, Why is it that people feel the need to display their christmas
trees and put up decorations in the middle of November?. Young children
get excited enough about christmas and when they have weeks to wait until
santa arrives with their presents, it must be a headache for the parents.
I think there should be a ban on christmas decorations being displayed
anywhere until the 1st December, that way we will not feel the pressure
to get involved until a realistic time.

Dear Editor, What a wonderful event the BBC bring to
our screens with 'Children in Need' fundraising appeal. On the morning
of the broadcast I watched with excitement when the announcers were giving
us a taste of what to expect that evening. As I live in Scotland I was
disappointed to find that we were subjected to an evening of an uninteresting
and badly presented programme by BBC Scotland with the ocassional clip
of events taking place in London. Why the need to have a separate programme
when the BBC are already broacasting from London beats me.

Dear Editor, With the Scottish Parliament and Local Authority elections
taking place next May, there is a lot of speculation regarding how the
results will affect Scotland. If the Scottish National Party win the Scottish
Parliament elections, Scotland will become independent, but surely Proportional
Representation was introduced to ensure there is not one overruling body.
A similar system applies to Local Authority Elections. Oh well, next May
should be rather fun not just for the electorate but the people administering
the process.
