Often it is the simplest solutions that succeed and this is what Flexi Time Management on the Web has achieved. In September 2007 Louise Wreathall (Director) from Aberdeenshire set up www.flexitimemanager.co.uk . Very simply employees access this web site, then enter their start and finish times. Once all the times are entered on the press of the submit button the number of hours worked is calculated. This is then a record of the employees working hours. From which a record of time at work is recorded so that employees can work flexibly, perhaps working longer on one day/week and shorter on another.

The software behind it is classic html with javascript to perform the calculations. The software Content Management System used is interestingly from the Isle of Skye. That is the Portree based company Sitekit. One note of caution, as the flexi time site uses Javascript one always needs to remember to have Javascript switched on in your browser.
