Dear Editor,
I heard that Stagecoach have replaced some of the services that pass through
Dalgety Bay with a dedicated stopping service to Edinburgh (no 53 bus),
as opposed to an express. It would be fine if it stopped at all the stops
in Dalgety Bay and was a limited stop or express service once it left
the Bay. Much acclaim has been made about the new leather seat coaches.
As I found out after travelling on the service the truth of the matter
is that they are partial leather seats – the back of them is made
from cloth. What is worse the seats are too close together and as a result
the ride can be extremely uncomfortable for those with normal size legs.
Stagecoach have provided 13amp power points for laptops, however, there
is no room to sit a standard laptop so that it can be comfortably used.
Their old coaches where far more comfortable – you did not feel
cramped and you had more room. Perhaps if Stagecoach had consulted with
the residents of Dalgety Bay prior to buying and implementing the coaches
a better quality coach could have been purchased? I wonder if any of your
other readers have any views? Mrs T McFinne (Dalgety Bay) |

Dear Editor, Guy Fawkes night is not usually celebrated
until the 5th November however as soon as the fireworks are available
for sale in the shops, people go mad and start setting the fireworks off
at least two weeks too early. Something should be done to stop this as
it does become annoying night after night. By the time the 5th November
is here no one will be interested in the meaning of the whole afair.

Dear
Editor, As a child I was always excited as christmas drew nearer and nearer
by the day. These days christmas appears to start in October which is
far too early and a significant period of time before the 25th December
actually happens. It must be awkward for the parents who perhaps cannot
afford lots of presents for their children if children are getting excited
about christmas three months before the event. It can also be annoying
for parents whose children do receive lots of presents as the wait for
the day arriving becomes a chore.
