A new innovative e-ticket system has been developed and implemented by FirstBus Scotland and FirstBus UK that allows customers to buy monthly bus tickets online. Customers are offered a choice of tickets starting at £45 to over £90 for different zones within Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, for a period of 28 days or a month. Once purchased the tickets are sent to you by post within 5 days.

As can be seen from the list of conurbations below the service extends in most cases (in particular for Edinburgh and Glasgow) well beyond the city boundaries. This new service is provided by FirstBus which is part of the FirstGroup plc a UK based international transport company with revenues of over £5billion a year.

A fleet of nearly 9,000 buses carries some 2.9 million passengers a day in more than 40 major towns and cities. In Scotland they operate bus services in the major conurbations such as Aberdeen, Aberdeen Airport, Aidrie, Balfron, Bridge of Don (Pronounced Bridge of Dawn), Bridge of Weir, Charleston (Aberdeen), Culter, Cumbernauld, Dalkeith, Dumbarton, Dyce, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Galashiels, Glasgow, Hamilton, Helensburgh, Kilsyth, Kingswells, Livingston, Motherwell, Musselburgh, Northfield, Paisley, Peebles, South Queensferry, Stirling, and Torry. By clicking on these listed links you will see the timetables for the services within their major conurbation areas such as Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
