Dear Editor, It is not very often that garages, tyre fitting establishments
etc get much praise but I must congradulate the staff of Kwik Fit in West
Lothian for their supperb service and quick action in dealing with a problem
I had. I bought new tyres from another establishment near Westfield, West
Lothian and within 24 hours one of the tyres was flat. On a Sunday it
is difficult enough to find the appropriate business open but Kwik Fit
came to my rescue and ensured the tyre would not give me any more problems.
The tyre had been fitted without ensuring the valve was working properly.
Mrs Gilhooley, Westfield, West Lothian.

Dear Editor, Are you aware of the fact that the Grampian
Hotel in Aberdeen which closed for refurbishment last year has now re-opened
its' doors and has the name Carmelite Hotel above the entrance. I must
say I was pleasantly surprised on entering the building and finding their
new and very stylish reception area with comfortable arm chairs and space
to relax in. Other areas of the hotel have also been transformed

Dear
Editor, So the gravy train of the Scottish Executive is steaming ahead
on the trip of a lifetime to Nirvana. Lobster, rack of lamb, Drambuie
ice cream washed down with a Crozes Hermitage 2003 ,and all for Bill Clinton
who was playing golf when the meal was being served. Oh the poor starving
politicians that they are, even their detractors say the money would be
better spent elsewhere. "That money would have been far better spent
in Malawi, rather than on a booze-up for members of the Executive. They
have lost all sense of priority. If people want to have lunch with Bill
Clinton, fine, but not at a total abuse of taxpayers' money."
Bob Horner, Leicester.
